The Promise Path / Canvas Print

This painting was created with the intention of evoking a sense of calm and serenity. I chose colours from the cooler side of the colour wheel such as soft purples, blues, and greens, balanced with warm accents of red, orange, and yellow to create harmony.

These colours work together to draw the eye toward the bridge and water, the focal points of the piece. Using acrylic paints mixed with a moulding medium, I built layers of texture to give the painting depth and dimension. The thick application of paint allows the flowers and foliage to feel almost tangible, creating a sense of movement within the landscape.

The moulding medium helped sculpt the details, making the trees and rocks stand out, giving them a rich, organic texture. The bridge symbolizes a journey, a peaceful crossing over calm waters that reflect the vibrant world around them. The water was painted with blended strokes of blues, whites, and soft pinks, allowing the light to shimmer naturally.
